MEET LACEY 🐾🧡

Lacey came into our care at just eight weeks old alongside her two sisters, after they were found being pushed around a park in Mt Wellington by someone trying to give them away.

While her sisters were quick to find foster homes and have since been adopted, Lacey needed a little more time. She was unsure of the world and wary of new people, so we knew she needed someone willing to give her the time and patience to build her confidence.

Lacey is now in foster care and is absolutely thriving. What started with small steps has turned into some pretty amazing progress.

PERSONALITY

Lacey is a sweet, gentle girl who has come a long way since arriving at WAGS, and even further since joining her foster family.

She can still be unsure when faced with unfamiliar noises or new situations, but her confidence has grown enormously in a home environment. She enjoys spending time with her foster family and playing with her foster sister, Sky.

The outside world is still something she's getting used to, but she is now happily exploring further each day. For Lacey, every extra metre is a big achievement.

She would suit a patient, understanding family who will continue building her confidence without rushing her although she has come leaps and bounds, we suspect she'll enjoy fun adventures as she continues to shed that shell of hers.

Lacey has already come such a long way, and we're incredibly proud of the dog she's becoming.

She's not the dog who needs someone to "fix" her. She needs someone who understands that confidence takes time and is willing to celebrate the progress along the way.

For Lacey, a few extra metres down the road can be a huge win. And with the right person beside her, we know there are plenty more wins ahead.🧡
