TYDE (now Cowboy) — A Love Story Written in the Stars

Some dogs don’t just find homes they find hearts that were waiting for them.

Our boy Tyde, now known as Cowboy, has landed on his paws in the most loving home with his two amazing mums, Sophie and Parker, and his gentle big fur brother Schroeder.

When I went to their home for the first meet and greet, Parker and Sophie were understandably nervous not about Cowboy but about how Schroeder would respond.

He’s their world. Found at a petrol station in America as a neglected pup, Parker rescued him, healed him, and filled his life with the love every dog deserves. Now in a palliative stage of cancer, Schroeder has been their heart dog for years.

The moment Schroeder and Cowboy met was one of those rare moments that stops time.

They greeted each other softly, sharing gentle kisses as if they both understood they were meant to meet. From that day, Parker and Sophie told us that Schroeder seems to have a new zest for life since Cowboy joined their family.

Tyde’s journey has been one of courage. He and his brother Ash came into our care underweight and heavily worm-burdened. Despite every effort, Ash’s little heart couldn’t overcome the damage he passed away peacefully in our arms at 3:15am on 16 May 2025

We let Tyde say goodbye, and that morning, we made him a promise: that we would find him the perfect forever home.

And we did.

To Sophie and Parker thank you for opening your hearts to Cowboy. You are truly angels on earth. Knowing he’s loved, cherished, and part of a family that understands the depth of rescue makes every tear and sleepless night worth it.

Run free, play hard, and love big, Cowboy. Your brother Ash will always be watching over you.
